Rents at a glance

These are typical (median) monthly rents from the homes we have listed right now. The median is the middle price — half the listings are cheaper, half are more expensive — so one luxury penthouse doesn't distort the picture.

Use them as a starting point for your budget. Floor, view, furnishing and whether bills are included can move a rent 20–30% either way.

The Pearl: waterfront living at a premium

The Pearl is the most expensive place to rent an apartment in Qatar, and it shows in the numbers: a typical 1-bedroom is around QAR 7,800 a month and a 2-bedroom around QAR 11,250. Studios start from roughly QAR 5,250.

What you pay for is the lifestyle — marina promenades, Porto Arabia's restaurants, sea views and a walkable island. Furnished units in Porto Arabia and Viva Bahriyah sit at the top of the range; older towers and inland streets are where the deals are.

Lusail: newer buildings, more choice

Lusail has the most new supply in the country, which keeps rents competitive. A 1-bedroom typically rents for around QAR 7,000 and a 2-bedroom for about QAR 11,000 — close to The Pearl for 2-bedrooms, but with newer buildings and more parking.

Inside Lusail, prices vary a lot by district. Fox Hills is the value pick (2-bedrooms around QAR 8,000), while the Marina District and Qetaifan Islands command more for sea views and the promenade.

West Bay: city living in the towers

West Bay is Doha's skyline — high-rise apartments next to the Corniche, City Center mall and the business district. 1-bedrooms are around QAR 8,500 and 2-bedrooms around QAR 10,500, with plenty of serviced and fully furnished options for professionals who want to move in with a suitcase.

Where to find better value

If budget matters more than a sea view, central areas like Al Sadd, Bin Mahmoud, Al Nasr and Madinat Khalifa offer 2-bedrooms for around QAR 5,500–6,500 — often half the price of the same size in The Pearl. You give up the waterfront, but you are close to shops, hospitals and the Metro.

What changes the price

  • Furnishing — fully furnished usually adds 10–20% to the rent.
  • Bills — some rents include electricity, water and cooling; others don't. Always ask, as cooling alone can be a real monthly cost in summer.
  • Floor and view — high floors and sea or marina views cost more.
  • Building age and facilities — pool, gym, concierge and covered parking push rents up.
  • Payment terms — landlords may give a better price for fewer cheques or a longer lease.

Questions & answers
